Trnava University has been a proud member of the Erasmus+ programme since 1998. We are pleased to host international academic and administrative staff who wish to participate in mobility for teaching or training purposes. Our university is committed to fostering international cooperation, exchanging best practices, and building strong academic partnerships. Mobility is usually carried out through the Erasmus+ programme or based on bilateral agreements.

Application Procedure

1. Verification at the Home University

If you are interested in a mobility stay at Trnava University as a teacher for training or teaching purposes, it is advantageous if your home university has an active inter-institutional or bilateral agreement with TRUNI — although it is not a strict requirement. This information is usually available on your university’s website or from your Erasmus+ coordinator. You should follow the selection procedure of your home institution.

2. Nomination

After being selected for Erasmus+ teaching mobility and choosing Trnava University as your host institution, you can contact the relevant TRUNI faculty directly. If you do not have a contact person, please email us at international@truni.sk. It is important to agree on the programme and schedule of your mobility. At this stage, you need to have the Mobility Agreement signed by TRUNI (please verify this with your Erasmus coordinator).

3. Application

All details of your stay must be verified and confirmed by the host faculty. Then, please fill in and submit a short information form. Based on this form, the International Relations Office (IRO) will provide you with information about Trnava, travel, and social activities.

Along with your application, you must also complete the Online Learning Agreement, where you will select the courses you wish to attend at our university.
A guide for filling it out can be found in the section Truni International > Important Documents > Manual – Online Learning Agreement. If your university does not use the online version, you can complete the paper version (Truni International > Important Documents > Erasmus+ Learning Agreement for Students on Internships).

Internships within the Erasmus+ programme (either during or after studies) are assessed individually. If you are interested, please send an email to international@truni.sk including your photo, transcript of records, and the Learning Agreement for a Traineeship (or Traineeship Graduate) document.

Based on the submitted documents, your application will be reviewed, and the International Relations Office will contact you with further information.

Invitation Letter

If required by your home university or for visa purposes, we can issue an official Invitation Letter. Please inform us if this applies to you.

Preparation for Departure

Accommodation
TRUNI offers a limited number of places for visitors at the Petra Pázmaňa Dormitory, located at Rybníková 13/A, Trnava (city centre). If you wish to stay in this dormitory, please indicate your preference in the application form.
Due to limited capacity, we will inform you in advance whether you have been allocated a room. A price list for visitors is available under Truni International > Important Documents > Dormitories Petra Pázmaňa – Price List.

The dormitory includes a self-service laundry room operated by payment card. An iron and drying rack are available at the reception.

Upon arrival at the dormitory reception, you will need a valid ID card or passport and must complete the registration form for the Foreign Police (Truni International > Important Documents > Residence Reporting – ENG). To save time, you can download, fill out, and sign the form in advance and bring it with you.

Health Insurance
We strongly recommend arranging commercial health and travel insurance valid for the entire duration of your stay in Slovakia. Citizens of the EU, EEA, and Switzerland should bring their European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) issued by their national health insurance provider.

Visa Requirements
Please ensure you meet all the entry conditions for Slovakia. More information about visa requirements can be found under Welcome Center > Visa.
Citizens of the EU, EEA, and Switzerland do not require a visa to enter Slovakia.

Internet
Wi-Fi access via eduroam is available on university premises, including faculties and dormitories. If you already have an eduroam account from your home university, you can use it here as well. Individual Wi-Fi networks are also available in visitor rooms, but please note that these are not suitable for streaming videos or movies.
