Trnava University offers international students high-quality education, a friendly academic environment, and plenty of opportunities for cultural exchange.
Students can choose from five faculties and a wide range of study programmes led by experienced professors in fields such as law, psychology, political science, pedagogy, public health, and theology. Classes take place in an inspiring and open atmosphere.
Each semester, the university welcomes around 20 to 30 students, mainly from Spain, Turkey, Kenya, and the Czech Republic. They quickly become part of TRUNI’s international community and take home not only academic knowledge but also new friendships and unforgettable experiences.

A. Step-by-Step Guide to the Application Process
A.1 Students Applying through the Slovak Government Scholarship Programme
The Slovak Government Scholarship Programme is administered by the Slovak Academic Information Agency (SAIA). Trnava University does not influence the selection of candidates and only provides administrative support for the programme.
Application Procedure:
Check the conditions and follow the instructions provided on the website https://www.scholarships.sk/.
Once you are invited to obtain an acceptance letter from your chosen university and you have selected Trnava University, complete and submit this form (hyperlink to the form below), together with the following documents - CV, Motivation Letter, Confirmation of current studies issued by your home university (attach these documents to the online form).
The International Office of Trnava University collects all applications and forwards them to the relevant faculty, which decides on admission. Applicants are informed of the result (accepted/rejected) on the same day.
Students who are conditionally accepted will receive an Acceptance Letter, which will be sent by email to the student and in an official copy to the Slovak Academic Information Agency.
After receiving the confirmation from SAIA, contact the International Office at international@truni.sk.
Based on the university’s instructions, you will then submit your final application for the exchange stay.
V rámci žiadosti máte možnosť požiadať aj o ubytovanie na univerzitnom internáte. Upozorňujeme však, že kapacita internátu je obmedzená, a preto nie je možné garantovať ubytovanie všetkým uchádzačom.

Such students arrange their own admission, financing, and logistics. Trnava University welcomes Freemover students as part of its international exchange community.

We also expect you to inform us about your arrival date. It is recommended to arrive a few days, at most one week, before the beginning of the semester.
Accommodation
Trnava University (TRUNI) offers a limited number of rooms at Petra Pázmaňa Dormitory, located at Rybníkova 13/A in Trnava (city center), for Erasmus+ students.
If you wish to stay in this dormitory, it is important to indicate your request in the application form. Due to limited capacity, students will be notified in advance whether accommodation has been granted.
Students are accommodated in double rooms with a bathroom, toilet, sink, and wardrobe.
Each room is equipped with a bed, desk, lamp, bookshelf, chairs, wardrobe, mini fridge, and Wi-Fi connection. Bed linen is provided and regularly changed. On each floor, there is a shared kitchen equipped with an electric cooker and sink. Kitchens for Erasmus+ students are furnished with basic kitchen utensils, dishes, cutlery, and other essentials for cooking. Tap water in Slovakia is safe to drink.
The dormitory also provides a self-service laundry room operated by a card payment system.
An iron and ironing board can be borrowed at the reception.
The monthly rent is 110 EUR per person, payable by the 20th day of each month.
EU students must pay electronically, while non-EU students may pay in cash at the dormitory reception (contact: Mrs. Baranová).
Upon arrival, students are required to pay a refundable deposit of 100 EUR.
This deposit will be refunded at the end of the stay, provided the room is returned in good condition. All formalities — registration, signing of the contract, receiving the dormitory card, and payment instructions — must be completed within two weeks of arrival. Information and support are provided by the International Office of the dormitory.
Dormitory rules will be provided during the orientation meeting or can be downloaded from the attached documents. Upon arrival, it is necessary to present your passport or ID card and fill in the registration form for foreign nationals. For faster processing, you can download and fill out the registration form in advance, sign it, and bring it with you.
If you plan to host visiting friends or family, you must book a guest room in advance.

Welcome to Trnava, welcome to Trnava University!
Once you arrive in Trnava and settle into your accommodation, you will:
