The ERASMUS+ program enables academic staff to carry out short-term teaching visits at partner universities abroad. The program supports the exchange of expertise and teaching experience while contributing to the improvement of educational and research quality at universities.
BIP mobilita
Staff mobility within the BIP – Blended Intensive Programme is designed for both academic and non-academic university staff. It consists of short-term, innovative educational programmes under Erasmus+ that combine physical mobility with virtual collaboration. The aim is to enable a wider range of university students and staff to participate in international mobility, including those who would not otherwise be able to take part in long-term stays abroad.
Characteristics
-
Duration of physical mobility: 5 to 30 days (with a minimum of 15 participants from at least 2 different countries other than the host institution).
-
Virtual component: mandatory; takes place before, during, or after the physical part and supports teamwork and collaborative tasks.
-
Organisation: at least 3 higher education institutions from 3 different Erasmus+ programme countries must participate. The BIP coordinator is responsible for programme preparation, participant selection, mobility arrangements, and outcome evaluation.
-
Target group: students of all levels of study, as well as academic and administrative staff.
-
Funding: participants may receive a grant for physical mobility (e.g. €70–79 per day) and additional support for green travel or participants with fewer opportunities.
Goals
-
To promote innovative forms of teaching and learning.
-
To enhance participants’ digital and intercultural competencies.
-
To provide more flexible mobility opportunities for a broader range of students and staff.
-
To strengthen international cooperation among higher education institutions.
