About the Incubator
What is the H&ART Incubator?
The H&ART Incubator (Heritage & Art) is a European incubator for culture, the arts, and the creative industries. It was established as part of the KreativEU Alliance—a consortium of 11 universities from 9 European Union countries funded by the Erasmus+ programme (Project No. 101177256, 2025–2028).
At Trnava University, we operate the local branch of this transnational incubator. We are one of eleven European branches and are currently (2026–2028) in the pilot phase, delivering the first incubation cycles that will help shape the future development of the entire initiative.
This is not a traditional technology startup incubator. It is a transnational ecosystem where artistic creativity meets entrepreneurial thinking, cultural heritage meets digital technologies, and academic research meets real-world practice.
What does this mean in practice?
Imagine an artist with an excellent project — for example, mapping lost crafts of Trnava through digital archives and exhibitions. They have talent, passion and an idea, but lack experience in financing, promotion, presenting the project to partners, or turning it into a sustainable activity.
This is where the H&ART Incubator comes in. During 9 months, the artist receives an assigned practical mentor, access to TRUNI facilities, workshops on cultural entrepreneurship, connections to European partners and support in finding funding. At the end of the cycle, they have a finished product — an exhibition, plan or prototype that can be further developed.
The incubated participant may also be a small student team with an idea for a cultural podcast, an IT specialist creating a digital tool for museums, or a cultural institution manager launching an innovative programme.
What the incubator IS NOT
- It is not a grant scheme - we do not provide direct project funding.
- It is not only a course or education programme - it is long-term guided incubation of a specific project.
- It is not a commercial company - it was created in an academic environment with academic values.

For TRUNI students. Competitions, workshops and international programmes (BIP) that develop entrepreneurial thinking in the cultural and creative sector. |
Monitoring trends in the cultural and creative industries in Slovakia and Europe. Outputs serve as a basis for cultural policy development. |
For Incubation Applicants
What the incubated participant receives
During the 9-month cycle (September 2026- May 2027), every participant receives:

Individual mentoring |
An assigned mentor, a professional from practice or academia, with at least 3 hours per month throughout the cycle. Meetings are possible in person and online. |

Educational events, seminars and networking meetings focused on creative entrepreneurship, intellectual property, financing and presentation skills. |

TRUNI facilities |
Access to KreativEU meeting rooms, Art Department studios, two auditoriums (capacity 100 people) and the large auditorium (capacity 500 people) suitable for exhibitions and public events. |

Connections to partner incubators in 9 EU countries. Opportunities for mobility, internships and international cooperation within the KreativEU Alliance. |

Funding support |
Assistance in identifying grant schemes, contacting potential investors and partners, and preparing project applications. |

Intellectual property protection |
Your works remain exclusively yours - 100% ownership. TRUNI and the incubator receive only a non-exclusive licence for promotion. If the incubator generates income from your work (e.g. exhibition, distribution, reproduction), 80% of income belongs to the author and 20% to the incubator. Independent commercialisation outside the incubator does not trigger this share. |

Participation fee |
During the pilot phase (2026–2028), participation is completely free. There are no application, participation or completion fees. |
Who can apply: artists and creative professionals, multidisciplinary student teams from TRUNI, startups and spin-off projects in the cultural sector, IT professionals with ideas for culture or heritage, and managers of cultural institutions with innovative projects.

Pre záujemcov o mentoring
Hľadáme 5–10 mentorov pre prvý cyklus
Mentor v H&ART Incubátore nie je lektor ani pedagóg v klasickom zmysle. Je to sprievodca — odborník, ktorý venuje čas a skúsenosti konkrétnemu projektu a jeho autorovi. Mentoring prebieha priebežne počas celého 9-mesačného cyklu, kombináciou individuálnych stretnutí a skupinových podujatí.
Záväzok: Minimálne 3 hodiny mesačne počas trvania cyklu (september 2026 – máj 2027). Stretnutia sú možné osobne aj online.
Odmena: V pilotnej fáze je mentoring dobrovoľný, bez finančnej odmeny. Napriek tomu prináša reálne výhody — európsku sieť, viditeľnosť, prístup k inovatívnym projektom a talentovaným kreatívcom.
Prihlasovanie: Prihlášky mentorov prijímame už teraz, uzávierka je 30. júna 2026.

Prihlasovacie inkubovaných
Ako sa prihlásiť o inkubáciu
Prihlasovanie inkubovaných sa spúšťa 1. júna 2026 prostredníctvom online formulára (Microsoft Forms) zverejneného na tejto stránke. Uzávierka prihlášok je 30. júna 2026.
Postup:
- Vyplniť prihlasovací formulár online (dostupný od 1. júna 2026)
- Výberová komisia TRUNI posúdi prihlášky podľa 9 kritérií
- V prípade potreby pohovor alebo prezentácia projektu
- Výsledky výberu budú oznámené v auguste 2026
- Vybraní účastníci podpíšu inkubačnú zmluvu s TRUNI
- Štart cyklu: september 2026

KReativEU

H&ART Incubátor na TRUNI je súčasťou aliancie KreativEU — európskej siete 11 univerzít z 9 krajín EÚ. To znamená, že každý inkubovaný účastník aj mentor získava automaticky prístup k širšej európskej komunite odborníkov, projektov a príležitostí.
