In order to participate in the Erasmus+ program, a bilateral agreement must be concluded between your university and Trnava University. Please check with your international office or website (link to the Cooperation and Partnerships section) to find out if such an agreement exists.

In the case of training, it is not necessary to have a bilateral agreement between your university and Trnava University. However, check with your international office, as universities may set their own rules.

At the same time, follow the established process for Erasmus+ mobility.

For communication with our university, it is important that you have a direct contact at the faculty with whom you can arrange the implementation of teaching. If you do not have such a contact, write to international@truni.sk and the international office will connect you to the responsible persons at the faculty. After reaching an agreement with the faculty, you need to have this person sign the completed Mobility Agreement, which will be provided to you by your international office.

Part of the process is filling out a short application form, which serves to register you with us and on the basis of which we will send you practical information about Trnava, accommodation, and other details.

The short information questionnaire serves to register your presence at TRUNI. Since your mobility can only be communicated at the faculty level, the TRUNI international office may not be informed. In this case, based on your initial registration, you will receive general information from the international department about opportunities in Trnava, whether it be accommodation, transportation to Trnava, leisure activities, and so on.

The Invitation Letter is issued by the specific faculty inviting you to teach or train, or by the international@truni.sk (TRUNI). To have it issued, you need to provide information about your mobility, such as the dates of your stay, the purpose of your visit, and your personal and contact details.

You can either name a person from our faculty or a representative of the TRUNI international office with whom you are in contact regarding mobility.

The main language of instruction at the university is Slovak. Lectures by foreign teachers for TRUNI students are mostly in English, but the language of instruction depends on an agreement with the person responsible at the faculty. In the case of Czech teachers, instruction is in Czech.

Individual training is conducted according to an agreement between the trainer and the incoming employee.

The Mobility Agreement must be signed before the mobility itself. During your stay, bring and have your Certificate of Attendance confirmed – you can have it signed either by the person in charge at the faculty or at the International Relations Office of Trnava University.

Your main contact will be a person at the faculty with whom you will discuss all matters related to teaching or training. For general questions such as accommodation, transportation, or leisure activities, you can contact the TRUNI international office, which will be happy to help you.

You will receive a Certificate of Attendance before the end of your mobility period. Please bring the form used by your university for this purpose. If you do not have a prescribed form, the university form will be used.

The number of students depends on whether it will be teaching within a specific class or combined subjects. This fact needs to be discussed with your contact person at the faculty.

This fact needs to be discussed with your contact person at the faculty, as it depends on which room the lectures will be held in. However, we recommend that you have your own personal computer available.

FAQ Outgoing

Any full-time student enrolled in at least the second year of a bachelor's degree program or any higher degree program is eligible for student mobility. Additional conditions depend on the specific program (e.g., Erasmus+, CEEPUS, bilateral agreements). For more information, contact the IRO team.

You can find a list of partner universities on this website, specifically in the Cooperation and Partnerships section (link to Agreements and Partnerships), or you can ask the IRO team for advice. It is important to consider the range of study programs, the language of instruction, the length of mobility, and administrative requirements.

Calls for applications are usually published once or twice a year. Keep an eye on your faculty's website, social media, or news on this website. The application process and deadlines are coordinated by the IRO team.

Most mobility programs are supported by a grant that covers part of the costs of staying abroad (accommodation, meals, travel). The amount of the grant depends on the country and type of mobility. The exact conditions will be provided by the IRO team.

Yes, in some cases it is possible to request an extension. It is important to contact the IRO team well in advance and take into account the deadlines and possibilities of the host institution.

Yes. For example, under the Erasmus+ program, you can take advantage of mobility at every level of study (Bachelor's, Master's, PhD) for up to a total of 12 months per level.

We recommend that you contact the International Relations and Mobility Office (IRO team), which is responsible for all international mobility. At the same time, if you are already physically at a foreign university, verify some information with the local team responsible for managing mobility.

Training under the Erasmus+ program can be understood as:

  • Training/job shadowing at the host university department (e.g., an employee of the study department visits the study department of the host university and learns how the processes work on their side, what positive aspects could be introduced at the home university, or, for example, a teacher of a specific field visits and familiarizes themselves with the issues of the same/similar field at the host university). a teacher of a specific subject visits and familiarizes themselves with the issues of the same/similar subject at the host university.

  • Training organized by an educational institution – it does not have to be a university, but the institution must be listed on the ECHE card. Such training may focus, for example, on presentation skills, new developments in education, or language courses. However, participants should be aware that in this case, the institution usually charges a fee.

  • Staffweek organized by a foreign university. It is a week of training and workshops focused on a specific topic. Participants meet colleagues from different countries, exchange experiences, gain new knowledge, and establish cooperation. The program may include professional training, sharing of good practices, seminars, or job shadowing. A list of organized Staffweek events can be found on this website.

  • BIP (Blended Intensive Program) is a short-term intensive program that combines face-to-face mobility abroad with online collaboration. It usually consists of a 5-day event and an online meeting (1-3 hours) before and after the event. As with staff week, it consists of a week of training and workshops focused on a specific topic. Participants meet colleagues from different countries, exchange experiences, gain new knowledge, and establish cooperation. It is necessary to follow the same rules as for other foreign business trips, i.e., obtain approval from your supervisor and faculty or rector's office. At the same time, it is necessary to inform the department that processes business trip expense reports and follow its instructions, for example, to submit a Report from a Business Trip Abroad.

More information about other programs can be found here TODO(link to information banner). However, the conditions, approval, and billing for such trips are governed by the rules of the specific program and the internal procedures of your faculty or rector's office. In these cases, the international department has no competence or authority to intervene.
