The ERASMUS+ program enables academic staff to carry out short-term teaching visits at partner universities abroad. The program supports the exchange of expertise and teaching experience while contributing to the improvement of educational and research quality at universities.
Types of Mobilities
Staff mobility for training (STT) is designed for both academic and non-academic
university employees. Activities may include so-called Staff Week, Job Shadowing, professional preparation, study visits, or training (note: conferences are not allowed). The mobility can take place at higher education institutions, organizations involved in education, research, innovation (including companies), research institutes, foundations, or other educational centers, based on an agreed program described in the Mobility Agreement for Training.
Staff Week is a short-term training stay for university employees focused on developing professional skills, exchanging experiences, and fostering international cooperation. Participants attend workshops, lectures, and visits to host institution departments, establishing valuable contacts and gaining new knowledge for their professional development. It typically lasts 3–5 days.
Job Shadowing is a form of professional mobility in which a staff member observes the work processes of colleagues at a host institution abroad.
The aim is to learn through observing daily tasks, gaining inspiration, and comparing work practices without direct involvement in the host organization’s work.
